I love this shot because it feels so real. It’s not often you catch someone looking so peaceful when they don’t know they are being watched. The black and white really helps you focus on his expression without any other distractions. He just looks so wise and calm here. I could look at these portraits all day because they really show who he is. It is amazing how much a simple photo can say about a person's heart and mind.

Here is a really great portrait I took while we were just hanging out at our home in Wildwood. I caught him right as he was walking through the hallway, and the warm lighting coming off the wooden doors in the background looked absolutely perfect for a picture. He is wearing a comfortable black shirt and his silver chain, giving the camera that classic, serious look he always does. I really love snapping these quiet, everyday moments when we are just relaxing around the house together. It is always the unplanned, natural pictures like this one that end up being some of my absolute favorites to look back on.

Behind every great photo is that funny moment where you have to stop and see if you actually got the shot! These candid images capture and me standing in our Grover Ridge kitchen, huddled over a little red digital camera to check our pictures. Surrounded by the comfort of our home, it is a quiet, unposed glimpse into our process of making fun memories in Wildwood.
